And more amazing food, and sun finally some sun
Yesterday (thursday): went out for lunch with marisa at this amazing burger place that has great big burgers (three types of veggie ones). Then went home hung out with Tayla.
Had dinner with Marisa and Tayla at Soul Mammas after finding out that another one of my fav restaurants is closed for two more weeks.
I did however find tofutti cuties (check it out here ) i'm in vegan heaven. I've already gone through one box. For those of you who don't know. Tofutti cuties are these amazing ice cream sandwiches which are dairy free. They used to be in shops about a year and a half ago and then seemed to disappear n melb and their was rumours that they couldn't import them anymore. But their back now and thats all that matters. As if i needed another reason to love north Fitzroy.
I ended up going to see Amber at her friends place in Malvern and hanging out there chatting til rather late.
Today: Woke up and sat around in my pjs with tayla watching charmed ad other average tv programs til late. So lovely to just do nothing and chill out.
Then headed off to veggie bar for lunch with Tay which was ok but nothing special in my mind.
Come home and sat outside since today was the first decent day in Melb weather wise and i wanted to catch what little sun there was. My mother gave me the video cam so i could watch the tape she made for me with everyone in it. Such a great idea and made me laugh so much. It was wonderful sitting out there eating a cutie in the sun thinking it really doesn't get much better than this.
I went and visited my father and Sue at their new home picked one of their apricots from their tree outside only so my mother could steal it and eat it ;-)
Went shopping and brought some new funky jeans, and some three quarter length jeans.
Took Jennifer bday present and choc spiders i made for her around to her place and made her promise she would wait til tomorrow to eat them and open the pressie. Btw Leona who is only four remembered the nose thing (touch her nose and she kisses) and she gave me a gorgeous hug. I spoke to their mother and she gave me half a watermelon. I haven't met their other brother but judging from vinh, jen, leona, and mum they really are a sweet family. I promised leona that if she is good to her mother we will take her to go see a movie on monday when we are all going.
Made dinner for the first time if it can be called that it basically consisted of putting together refried bean, avocado and salsa burritos and toasting them in the sandwich maker. Yes lazy but quick and good.
I'm really enjoying my time back here.
Now bring on the warm weather and the camping (in may case cabin) weekend.

The last couple of days have gone really quick so i figure i will try to recap before the times up and i have to go home.
One of those posts i recommend skipping since its boring because it was written purely for my own record.
Monday: completely out of it slept til 12, gave my father his t-shirt, Dave come over lots of sitting in the lounge room watching tv. Emma and Claire come over we went out for fish and chips in williamstown, they stayed over night.
Tueday: Felt exhausted, and still sleep deprived. Went driving to highpoint, did a small amount of shopping, wrapped some presents and hung out with Emma and Claire. In the evening discovered that vo will be closed to feb. Went to veg out at brunswick street with Marisa, slightly disappointing since the food seemed cold-ish, got some dessert from gluttony. Went to borders jam factory. Brought a language older than words (Derrick Jensen) and started reading it.
Today: Picked up Jennifer and drove her to my place. Went and visited Erin's new place walked to smith street via brunswick street and picked up some of my fav lip balm and a new papaya one. Went to lunch at soul food, ate some incredible food the best probably being a lentil patty with chutney. Drove to highpoint only to find that all the shops were closing except for big w which had nothing. Went out for indian with mum and nan. Drove Jen home and caught up with Vinh sorry his new name is vynce. We sat exhanged photos and chatted for hours about my sassy girl (his fav romance film) hong kong, relationships, white vs tanned skin and much more. And i played with his adorable little attention seeking sis Leona.
And i thought what am i going to do for two whole weeks here.

I've arrived
had some sleep
and already ate 8 pieces of toast, two mangos and almost a litre of apple and mango juice
feels rather odd to be back and speaking so much English and driving again.
Odd but good.
Tomorrow i'll visit my fav restaurant.
