I spoke to a woman from the Immigration department yesterday and she thinks my visa will go through this week.

Upon hearing this: I felt a little more motivated to be domesticated.

So I cleaned, finally unpacked my suitcase (yes its been a while), did two loads of washing, did some grocery shopping, made labor intensive dinner (rather than a quick 20 minute-ish meal), and cleaned the whole apartment.

It is so clean again.

I lost it for a few days due to my sinus problems.

Its such a pity that my mother, or grandmothers or anyone really can't visit me: because they are never going to believe how clean I am.

My room tends to a vary a little in cleanliness.

But the rest of the apartment is clean all the time (apart from when I'm not feeling 100%).

I even did some menu planning yesterday. I'm sick of going to the supermarket every second day or so and now that i know what supermarket stocks what I'm going to stock up and try to do a weekly shop. The only downfall is grocery carrying a few blocks.

Today I'm off to carry out the grocery shopping and prepare a few meals to freeze/refrigerate.

Yes it is an exciting life i lead!

Also on the domesticated front i've managed to live without the following appliances:

microwave
blender
hair dryer (Casey where are you missy?)
rice cooker

As for the rice cooker comment people here think you are crazy if you cook rice any other way and i figure i can save money by cooking up my own rice when i get takeaway. Besides i want brown rice and theres not a fleck of colour in rice here (well apart from saffron)
