I'm not sure i can come back in Jan
Its complicated but basically i can't get the time off which leaves me with two options either:
miss the wedding
or quit.

I found a use for my id card
I ended up going to Shenzhen yesterday with Kayi (the other teacher who works full time) and Michael.
We met at about 5 and left at about 11.30pm.
I brought:
a cool Chinese style stamp with my Chinese name on it in old style Chinese characters which i can use on all my xmas cards
some blue sneakers
a dvd (Michael brought about 6)
some cute 'unmentionables' (as my grandmother calls them) with Chinese cartoons on them.
and the royal treatment: an hour long foot massage, manicure and pedicure. Not really the type of thing i would normally get done but Kayi and Michael were getting hour long body massages so i needed to waste some time. After being told my hands are beautiful three times (really???) and having both feet and one hand worked on for one hour i payed the equivalent of $16 Australian dollars. Not wonder they asked for tips. Tips included i think Michael and Kayi payed $10 au dollars for their massages. So of course they are talking about going back in two weeks for another one.
It was a rather good night.
Next weekend we are going to Macau.
